Sidemolding for 08 Civic Coupe

I just bought my daughter a new 2008 Civic Coupe (Black) and I would like to protect the car from parking lot rash and would like to purchase side mouldings. Honda does not seem to make them yet and I am looking for a substitute or aftermarket. Anybody have any suggestions other than a generic black side molding. Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the forum StoneOakDan: Try visiting a auto paint shop, they make and blend paints for cars, they would have moldings, also car parts places have moldings. I have not found any one type of moldings to protect your car, all the other cars and trucks have different heights and they will bang your daughters car in different heights. If we all had door protectors it would prevent damage to other cars. I have the stock see thru on my doors so it will not damage a fellow car next to me. So I do park far away from the buildings with the nice cars and we all seem to not bang each others cars.

Thanks for the reply. Honda seems to make one for all the other models but no Civic. I was just hoping that someone would know of another year model or something that might work. Thanks for the reply. I guess I will not have a choice but go your suggested route.
