Default Trans replacement (top or bottom)

I’ve already pulled my transmission once awhile back. Dropped the subframe then the trans. Been reading a couple post where people have removed it from the top. So my question is which is easier? 03 civic ex

my 02 civic trans came out the bottom at the transmission shop, they say its easier. 3 times due to trans shop goofed up the inner gears and syn. also at the Honda dealership the trans came out the bottom for replacement.

I pulled mine last night out the top just to see if it could be done. It came out fairly easy I done exactly like a guy said. Remove the thermostat housing and remove the clutch and lift it out. Didn't take as long as I thought from start to finish only took about 3 and half house. And that includes digging in my tool box for sockets one day it'll be all nice and organized. LOL NOT!!!
