Default Would my '97 Civic make it cross country?

I own a 1997 Honda Civic with 196k miles. I'll be changing the timing belt+water pump soon seeing as it's approaching the 200k mark.

This summer a friend and I want to take a cross country road trip. It'll be a 4 week trip with about 8000 miles of driving. If I have it checked, change the radiator hoses, oil, spark plugs and with a new timing belt is it possible it could make a trip like that?

I know it's a long shot but we don't have any other options when it comes to cars.

If you have it checked and run it like you normally would for a few weeks I don't see why not. My 91 Si reached 296k before I decided to sell it. Still ran great.

I drove it from Michigan to Florida (round trip) twice when I had it and I didn't have any problems.

Have fun on the trip.

I traveled 250 miles non-stop when my car had 180,000 miles and was fine. I would go for it.
