Would you trade for an Insight?
I received a letter from my dealer offering to buy back my 2008 Civic LX. Yes, I know everyone gets these letters and yes, I know the dealer just wants to get me in there.
Let's just say just for the sake of discussion, that the dealer would give me the deal I want (same payments, no money down, etc... again... just for sake of discussion, let's say the dealer is good on this....) would you:
A: Trade the '08 LX for a 2010 LX?
B. Trade up for an EX?
C. Trade for an Insight EX?
D. None of the above - keep the '08
I would like to point out that I have 38,000 miles on my '08 right now. My commute is about 120 miles (round-trip) and this is why I am considering a Hybrid (because of the miles and the potential savings on gas). Also, in Virginia it is legal to drive a Hybrid in HOV lanes (only on certain highways and only if you have a special plate on your car).
I have never driven a hybrid. I have no idea how it handles, etc... My car is the "commuter car" of the family. My wife has the "family car".
So, again, just for sake of discussion. If the dealer gives me what I want, what should I do?
If the dealer doesn't give me what I want. I'm just going to walk out and keep the '08. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I love the car! So, really I have nothing to lose other than the time I lost going to the dealer and talking with them.
Thank you in advance.
