Default Repairing Deep Scratches in HR-V, best course of action?

So HR-V that is Modern Steel color NH797M, brushed against wood post and now has deep long scratches on passager side doors. I am looking at afordable body/paint shops. If it was flat color I would be less concerned but since is metallic not flat I wonder if they will get it right? Will they just redo the whole door for both doors? Anyone have exper

ience with this?

welcome to the forum. due to having a new car/paint, i would try a 3m polishing compound to buff out the scratches, then carnuba polish only if all the scratches can be buffed out. if not the paint shop will get pretty close to your metellic type paint and paint only the door or area needed. and i doubt very much if there are any affordable paint shops. they are all expensive. if you want a good job done.

I had the same kind of scratches on my civic and I first buffed it then polished it with a really nice car wax from Yourautomaster. They suggest a huge variety of really easy-to-use car waxes with kits so you can even do it yourself!
