1994 ACCORD EX Rear BRAKE Draging SMOKING...

Replaced rear Disc Brake Caliper now it's DARGING. Accord comes with ABS do I have to bleed the caliper different because of the ABS??????? Or just bleed caliper and GO.... ABS is INOP had to pull the fuse. Left rear disc brake is the only one draging and it's NEW.

First thing to check would be to see if the caliper cylinders are sticking. If they are then replace the seals and clean the pistons thoroughly, replace if pitted or worn.Clean and lube the caliper slides.Good luck and let us know if this works.

Brake piston Good. It bleeds normal. Went to PULLAPART bought used Caliper and it does to same thing???? has to be in a Valve or ABS? Caliper all lubed up. Still gets smoking HOTTT.

Ok, check the caliper pins for rust, dirt, and corrosion. they are a likely culprit. If they are not clean and lubricated, they can hang up. You might want to go ahead and replace the caliper brackets if the pins are hanging up. This causes abnormal wear to the brackets' bores. sometimes the boots are not completely sealed and the pins/brackets get contaminated with road grime. Oh and check your springs ,over time they become week so you may need to replace.Good luck ,Bobby
