I Recently bought a 94 Civic. Was Told the Transmission went out. Anyways towed it home put in park. week later i try to move and its stuck in park. Any Ideas? Fyi i dont know much about cars. Thanks

 

welcome to the forum. does your civic have on the center console a transmission lock release using your spare car key. Check to see if you have a owners manual and it may show you how to release the transmission. Go to autozone.com and enter your car info (free) and go to repairs, it may assist you with diagram as to how to release the transmission.
Does the car run? Have you checked the fluid level, also check the brake switch, when this goes bad, the trans locks up on park.

 

forgot to ask how did you tow it home? were the front wheels turning during the tow? and how far was the tow? if on front wheels
