Accord rear knuckle and upper control arm

hey fellas I have a 94 accord - the car came with 20" rims and 225/30/ , the tires were way to thin for this bumpy and full of pot holes city streets = damage rims and tires , I change the tire size to 225/35 and still time to time I have to fix the rims. To make a long story short, I don't want to change the look of the car with small rims. I saw in some videos cars like the one I have with 22" rims and 26" rims , I wonder how they did it , I mean suspension wise, my 20" and 225/35 doesn't give me more room to put a 225/40 or 225/45 to prevent rims and tire damage especially the REAR tires. The rear knuckle shape and the upper control arm put their join right on top of the tire which doesn't aloud me to put a thicker tire 225/45 , so my question -is there a kit that I can use and remove that rear knuckle and upper control arm? or how u can put 22" rims or even worst 26" rims which is not what I want. I like my car with his 20" if there is some one with an idea or suggestions pls share it , thanks
