Hello bought a 2000 accord SE last year, believe battery never changed. is it safe to say i need a new battery? coz this past winter have problem with Alarm going off dead in the winter. when i took it for a good run to charge up the battery, the alarm stop that night. but it still happening off and on.
My friend has a Brand new Honda battery sitting in storage for 2 yrs. its a GS 26 not sure abt part #. is it still usable???

usually the stock battery is good for 4-6 years depending on how hard you use it and what equiptment is on the honda being used. yes the battery should be good to use, if it is the same size. take the stored battery, have it fully charged and do a load test to make sure it is good. Most battery brands are good, I use interstate for all of my cars, 9 batteries I have purchased, only 1 did not make it 7 yr warranty due to my son leaves the stereo, lights, on and falls asleep at night. or the inside dome light and head lights are left on during the day and I was given a few dollars credit and discount on the new battery.
