Exhaust Help!!!!!!!!
hello everyone so ive been back and forth on my setup I have a 2013 Honda fit so far ive taken out the secondary cat and gone straight 2 inc piping(and most all systems ive seen for **** ton of money are 50mm witch is slightly smaller then 2 inc anything bigger then 2 inc seem way to much for this weak engine ) back to the stock muffler its not loud really at all now besides for the little backfires here and there cause the stock muffler power wise should I remove stock muffler or keep it I have a custom straight pipe that would replace the muffler , keep in mind theres a huge primary cat in front of all this for backpressure so please people let me know whatca all think
ok so buckwheat I haven't thrown any codes yet easily driven over 500 miles with the set up the o2 sensor is before the secondary cat so the computer wont miss it and as for the backfires it only happen if I 1.stay in first go up to 4000 or more and just let off in gear the pressure is just releasing cause the stock fit muffler is weird and seems very restrictive it loops back think of the exhaust flying out hitting a wall backing up and looping around that's a ge8 muffler 2.im fully on it and goto redline in the first 3 gears and when I shift I get a little pop that's the only time I get anything so its back to the question do I get rid of the stock muffler since it seems I have a lot of pressure in there in the high rpm range so do I just continue the straight piping I have already that's coming from the primary cat back or keep the muffler or even more so maybe a aftermarket muffler but no no fart can cause at that point I might as well go with the straight pipe thinking a megan one with a ti burnt tip seen goin for 150 or even a mugen twin loop knock off trying to stay low in the price don't wanna spend 300 on a muffler and one more time so its clear what I have now its engine, primary cat, then 2 inc straight pipe I tried to match the factory bends best I could all the way getting rid of the secondary cat and the resionator all the way to the axel where its bolted to the stock muffler like the good old days with gsr or si trying to keep the noise down after you threw on some headers but I guess with the fit noise isn't much of a problem
