Finding a seat for a 2010 CRV

I have an excellent 90,000-mile CRV EXL, FWD, runs like new but the driver's side leather seat is breaking down, cracks, sags, stitching breaking. NormaL wear, I am not heavy nor have abused it. Need advice. Should I get it recovered ? Where can I buy a VG used driver's seat ?, perhaps a better option. It is a tan color, how do I find out what Honda called it, colorwise. The exterior is black. Rest of the interior is in very good condition. Seat is a 6-way power one.

I am 78, drive about 6000-7000 miles a year and it will be my last car. am not looking for a bargain, just a reasonable solution............Love my totally reliable car. and want to keep it nice.

welcome to the forum fellow senior. i go to ebay( searching for cr-v drivers seat) to view the parts and find the salvage yard that is selling the parts, then email them for what you are looking for. on your drivers side door jam, you will find the color code for your car. this will tell honda, salvage yards the color of your car and i think the interior color also.. also have your vin#. the yard will ask for this.. also google on the internet for your year cr-v drivers seat. if you go to a reputable shop that recovers seats you may get a better price if your seat is not falling apart just worn and cracked material.

Thank you for your thoughtful answer.

Contacting a salvage yard to get on their search list sounds like a great idea. The seat is not in bad shape, just the cover. The nearest car upholstery shop is 60 miles one way but I may give them a visit. the other seats are fine. The car, I believe, will easily outlast me but I would like to get that seat redone.
