motor

i have put a new motor in my 2004 honda. its a d17 i v-tec motor but i have the original head ,which is non v-tec ,on the new block and it wont turn over what could be the problem

welcome to the forum. Did you try rotating the motor before you placed the head on the block? there might be a valve sitting on our piston. remove head, see if the engine rotates freely, then it could be the head
