radio code problem
 

A mechanic removed my honda 2003 model battery terminals and this caused the car radio to enter code. Please who can suggest to me how to remove the code?

you have to enter a numerical code using the number pad on the radio. if you don't have the code you have to bring the radio to a honda dealer along with proof of ownership then they will give you the code.sometimes they will give you the code over the phone but there not suppose to because that would defeat the purpose of this anti-theft feature.

This is the way to go about this...

1. If you are lucky. The Radio code will be a sticker in the owners manual. A lot of dealerships at the time of sale will remove the radio code sticker and apply it to the side of the glove box so it can be seen when the glove box is opened.

2. If you are unlucky. The process will then be to remove the radio. At this point snap a picture of the back of the radio. There should be a sticker with numbers/serial number etc... Or write this down. At this point it should be as simple as making a call to the Honda Dealership in your area. Either parts department or service department should be able to give you the 5 digit radio code over the phone....

A side note. A lot of radios lock out if the incorrect code is entered more than 3 times. If this is the case disconnect your batter again and leave it disconnected for a minute or so. Apply the brake pedal a couple times in case there is residual voltage in the system. At this point re-connect the battery and the radio will be reset... enter the code.

Radio Code
 

I fail to see how this is a theft deterrent. Are thieves not going to steal the car because the radio and clock won't work? If the dealership removed the code tag from the manual so i'd have to pay for it that doesn't seem fair. I just replaced the battery in my 08 Accord and my wife has no radio. If momma aint happy nobody's happy. Please someone, just e-mail me the code!

no it prevents thieves from stealing your radio and selling it because it won't turn back on without the code. thats why you need proof that you own the radio when you try and get the code from the dealer.you don't have to pay to get the code you just need proof of ownership.
