transmission problem

Hi

According to manuel of Honda CRV 2002, it's able to pull up to 1500 LB,
I used an up to 1400LB load wire cable to pull tree branch, but broke the cable. I tried about 15 pulls.

Later, I was told by doing so, the car transmission will be damaged, The transmission problem will surface slowly , but not immediate. Is this true?
Thanks.

welcome to the forum. I have seen a crv pull a heavy boat, but the owner changes his fluid once a year, and has a cooler added to the system. he has never had a problem to date. crv is 6 years old at this time.

Thanks for the reply, but the boat he pulls must have wheels underneath, but pulling heavy tree is a different story.
