Window Power Issues

So I've got this weird problem that all of the windows won't roll down except for the driver side, odd. When I push the buttons to roll them down I hear the particular door where the window is make a click noise but nothing happens. I know its an electrical issue just not sure whether I can fix it myself or not. Any help would be great, thanks!

could be the switches or even the motors. your going to have to narrow it down.

at first I thought it was the motor just because when i hear that "click" when i try to use the buttons i assumed the windows were getting power but thats as far as it was going. Thanks for responding

check the wires on the motors with a multi meter and see if there getting power.

Is the lockout button activated?

aaronj 03-27-2013 07:30 AM

haha no its not, if the lock out button is activated then I don't here the "clicking" noise where it sounds like the windows is attempting to work, obviously if it is not activated then I hear that "clicking" noise.

So do the other switches on the remaining doors work? As lowlife said check for power to each switch. It is most likely the main switch that is causing the problem,I had one that would not go up/down and it turned out to be a bad ground.

ya the switches on each door do not work. Even on the driver door, if i try to roll down the other windows those don't work either. Only the driver window will roll up/down. Ground is a good idea thanks.
