loud beeping during shallow water or high trim
I'm getting this alarm quite often now. I never heard it until recently and I've been in sand bars before. When this happens the motor also makes a funny "vroom, vroom, vroom, vroom" instead of just a smooth idle or slow down. Whenever this happens I just have to trim up, slow down at the same time. Then turn off and restart the motor to stop the beep. Then I have to go really slow and get out of the shallow stuff. Is this alarm for being trimmed to high or does it go off when the lower unit gets bumped by the sand? Did this alarm just get to sensitive? I've been going through the same routes I've always used and I can't get across on a plane now because of this alarm and motor degradation.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brent |

RE: loud beeping during shallow water or high trim
If you're trimmed so high that "pee" tube is not shooting out any water then it could be high temp alarm.
