Tiller handle options?
 

Hello,
I have a BF25A outboard, not sure the year, probably late 90's or early 2000's. I inherited the boat and motor from my grandfather. It's on a 18' fiberglass V-hull. My gramps had the local marina install it with remote forward controls. Long story short, I don't want the hull anymore and would love to put the motor on a smaller aluminum boat. I know they made this model with tiller handles, but is it possible to take the remote linkage parts off the main motor and put a used tiller on it so it can be used manually? Thanks for any help. Even if someone can steer me in the direction of someone/somewhere that can answer my question I would really appreciate it.
