born yesterday hf,er bought a 89 2.0 si lude for 375 alot of front end damage..bough t new hood light bezel,sensers, still trying to figer out all the wiring ,to find the short thats causeing the guages not to work ,they work sometimes please some one tell me the flashing S3 means ....have lot of issues so hopefully you all wont tire of me to soon,,had a reving prob, but was due to low coolant toped off coolant smoothed out 100% driveing it as my daily driver my other car is a truck(73 k;5) thanx for any help BRB

 

s3 is a transmission code. May be your vss, or speed o meter cable connect.

 

vss? remember i was born yesterday, none of the guages are working with any consisitty. seems like s3 starts flashing about the time it goes to shift to 3rd
