2007 or 2011 Accord V6 Coupe 1st time buyer

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I'm going to be new to owning a Honda in a few more months. I'm looking to purchase a 2007 or 2011 Accord V-6 Coupe 6 Speed Manual. KBB is currently listing the 2007 @ $4,700 and the 2011 @ $8,700. It looks like depreciation is around $1000 a year going from 11-10-09-08-07. I'm wondering if there have been any known mechanical issues in the 2007 or if there are any expensive scheduled maintenance services that I need to consider. Ideal mileage on the 2007 is 130K, I'm willing to spend the extra $4000 and get a 2011 if it means that I won't be spending a lot of money in repairs/scheduled services. Thank you very much!

Welcome in,I personally think that's a lot of miles,I would look for something with less, and if you do go with one with 120 K or more check to see if the timing belt/ water pump have been changed. I prefer the 4 cyl. Accords myself ,less problems and great mileage. Hondas are very reliable so what ever you choose you will be happy I'm sure, also check for a farfax report. Good luck

Thanks for your feedback. I thought that one of the things that made Honda standout amongst competitors was in long engine life. I average about 100 miles a week and once every few weeks I'll go on a 300 mile road trip. I was going to keep the car for 3 to 4 years before upgrading again. Do you think it would still be wise to spend the extra 4 grand and buy the 2011? I appreciate your input.

If you can afford it go ahead, newer is always better and these Hondas do last a long time ask ACmech our mod he has one with tons of mileage.
