My name is Mo and I am new to this type of thing.
I am a retired electrician trying to figure out what is going on with my daughters car that was purchased new in 2013.
This civic has 197,000 km, a new battery purchased in January of 2024. Battery and charging system has been rechecked by the auto club that installed the battery, everything ok here.
The error codes are :
Check power steering , check braking, check ABS, check VSA (vehicle stability assist), EPS (electric power steering).
These error codes appear intermittently.
I have done some reasearch, spoke to a Honda mechanic, had it looked at by my mechanic ( not Dealership, Yet).
Had the error codes scanned, which disappeared once the error messages disappeared.
It took a while to find the actual fault with the scanner, which led to faulty VSA sensor. I hope. It is my understanding, that if one of these sensors fail, all the error messages appear, is that correct?
So the VSA part has been ordered and I am waiting for a call back/ return trip.
Has anyone out there had this problem? I'm just looking for help in trying to understand this situation.
