hey im new to this forum but not new to hondas so im not a complete virgin. i have a 1991 honda civic si with quite a bit of work done to it. my only question is it a has a knob from the factory that you can twist to adjust the idle to the left of the steering wheel. ive seen a lot of civics but i have never seen this before. well at least not stock i havent.

This must be a mod to assist in racing, I saw this on an American made hotrod, the adjustment was to get the idle to 2000 rpm, this allowed the driver to get off the line at the same time for bracket racing. It seemed he was always within 3 seconds of his time up or down. very consistant.
