Welcome to the forum. You can mod anything you want on your 98 civic. What I did before I wanted to mode my 07 Fit with a turbo k 2.0. I look up info on google. Utube. Moogan. Spoon. And every thing written up on the swap. Found I had to get the engine,trans,cage from the engine,piggy back the k2.0 ecm on to the stock. And custom build an exhaust header sys. Then try to get a Ca exempt smog. ( I did not find that too entertaining and dropped the idea. Too much Ca red tape at the time.) but if you have the time and money and smog connections. Go for it.
