RE: alternator issue

Welcome to the forum gspotv6accord98, enjoy your stay. Ans from wiki answers id939565840:- Paraphrasing from the service manual: 1 disconnect the battery. 2. Remove the cooling fan next to the alternator. 3. Put a wrench on the idler pulley and move it to the rear to lessen the belt tension. Remove belt. 4. Remove alternator connections. 5. unbolt alternator plus one bolt holding a wire.
suggest getting a service manual, or hanes, chiltons, if you plan to do a lot of your own work. this will assist you with diagrams.

RE: alternator issue

Before you decide to do any changing of alternator, read the article from this site, then decide if you want to put any type of stereo that draws more amps then what your current alternator can do.http://motorcityreman.com go to alternator, info to read prior to ordering.

timing belt/headers

timing belt 105khttp://www.familycar.com/carcare/GatesFrame.htm
Yes headers give about 15% if it includes cat and exhaust pipe front to back change over. Intake also helps, caution on cold air intake which go to the lower part of the car, if you go through water puddles, or lots of deep water, you may end up with a hydro lock.

RE: alternator issue

if you think changing an alternator is a "wow" are you sure you really want to install a super charger???? The whole front end will need to come off and modded for the air cooler. Unless you plan to have a shop install it for you?
