i need help..ma d16a6 enigine needs new rod and main bearings but we had ta send tha crankshaft outis it worth tha trouble or shud i jus get a new engine??

 

welcome to the forum, hope some of us might be able to assist you. If you have a stock engine, you might try ebay. there are a few salvage yards that sell complete engines for 400-650.00. If you go to their sites direct it has more engines to view. I found 6 different yards around southern california to purchase my 1.7 engine with less than 20k miles. with 30 day warranty. Still it is a buyer beware. If you overhaul your own engine, parts and labor. almost 800.00 + but you know how your engine will turn out.
