Exclamation Fraud alert !

Hey guys, my name is Terry and I wanted to share my story with you, hope it'ssbe useful. I bought a vehicle that had front end damage from a collision, which wasn't disclosed by the seller. And he’d shown me a CARFAX report, which also didn't show any accident records — the car was absolutely clean according to it. However, I ran a report on another website, epicvin.com, and it showed that the car was in an accident and then repaired. I don't know why this information wasn't disclosed by CARFAX, but now I'm aware that CARFAX isn’t a service that can be trusted, and I won't use it again.

its because carfax reports are only reported buy certified mechs and not shady or backyard mechanics. carfax is not a reliable source for vehicle service information just a reference i like to call it carfuks.

Pretty expesive to be just a reference, in my opinion. The other website report cost me 9$ only
I understand that minor scratches and bumps can be dealt with cash and a backyard mechanic. But how come this escaped CARFAX report?
This is the report I bought on epicvin.com showing me pics with my car's front smashed

And the totally clean CARFAX

Did they deliberately choose not to disclose this information?

to bypass carfax, i can take a badly damaged car in and pay cash, no insurance involved and my carfax will be clean if checked. Also the body shop agrees not to do a report with cash paying customers. carfax only reports when insurance claim is made or the body shop is a reputable shop that reports all damage insurance or cash paid.

Carfax is a good source for getting vehicle history but by no means definitive, even their own TV ads state that.
