Headlamp issue

Hello,

I have a 2004 Accord LX. This just started occuring about 3 days ago. Everything is stock on this car. The driver side headlamp (low beam) did not light, so I replaced the bulb. After replacing bulb, I tested prior to inserting it in housing. After installation complete, headlamp did not turn on with switch. All other bulbs worked. I lightly tapped on housing and bulb came on. I checked on installation again and it was secure. I purchased another bulb and went through the same steps and issue persisted. I checked socket and it locks firmly in place. Light worked when not in housing. I moved light around thinking possibly a loose wire or socket, but no issue with that.
Can anyone offer a suggestion or resolution?
Thank you

welcome to the forum. check in the socket for a loose terminal connector. where you cannot see, housed inside. wire to terminal.

Did you test light while in socket and not in housing or just test the bulb?
It seems that when you install socket back into housing that the power or ground becomes isolated
Why? IDK.
Would try cleaning up socket (with power off) and try again.

thank you for the responses - found issue in wire further down from socket in harness. Repaired it - installed 2 new bulbs, everything good.
