Talking Hello fellow drivers. First Time Car Owner.

Just purchased a CPO Honda Accord Sedan 2011 and very happy so far.

The car is for leisure. I still use city transportation for work. But it's great to have a car just to get around during the weekends. NYC transportation is not what it used to be and I'm getting older and tired of it as well.

I'm holding on to this car for the long haul (till the wheels fall of is what they say )

I've read the manual and reread it again concerning maintenance for my car. I don't want to wait for a light to come up on my dash board concerning service.
I'm used to hearing things like "after 10,000 miles you need to do this" blah blah blah. I just want to stay on top of the maintenance so the car will last.

Any advice or links to websites concerning maintenance schedule for 2011 Honda Accord Sedan LX is greatly appreciated.

welcome to the forum. The newer hondas have a oil life %, the maintenence light will come on when the car hits 15% oil life. then its time for an oil change. I do my Fit at 20%. That is about 7500 miles on the oil. Rotate your tires at each 5k miles.

Hi nycdriver,

I'd like to extend to you a welcome to the form as well! Congratulations on your new purchase. To take the best care of your vehicle consider the source of the make of your car. Check out the maintenance schedule straight from the Honda website itself: http://owners.honda.com/service-main...n#mid^CP2F7BJW

unless your using a synthetic oil that surpasses the recommended interval of regular dino juice but i believe honda recently switched to full synthetic so consult your owners manual.
