Hey from the Bay Area
Hey everyone. I'm just joining to see if I could get some advice for my civic. I've had it a couple of years now. Got an 2007 thats been fine up until now. just a couple of days ago it started to make some awful screeching noise every time I shift into reverse. this is my first time having to check out and fix what could be a major problem (its my first car) don't want to get screwed on the cost. I was gonna take it back to my dealer http://www.winterhonda.com/ but I heard that you should never take your car to dealer. Is that true? Then can someone recommend a good shop in the Bay Area. Thanks

RE: Hey from the Bay Area
welcome to the forum, no, not true, no all dealers treat their customers poorly. Roberstons palmdale Honda treats me well,If they take a long time to do a oil change or a 30k service ck, they discount the cost for me several times.
Your car is still under warranty, take it back to the dealer and see what they will do for you. There should be not problems with the civic for 100k min. Post what they found and fixed please.
