Smile I'm new here - hello, to one and all !

Hello everyone, I'm contemplating the purchase of a 2013 Accord EX-L i-4 or V-6, w/o nav. This will be my first Honda, having owned Jaguars (when living in the UK), Mercedes and Lexus. I read somewhere of TSB's regarding wind noise (driver's window) and brake squeaks due to out-of-adjustment parts and wonder if Honda directs dealers to correct these items on all stock, not simply the one's sold. I would rather know this in advance instead of returning to the dealer for correction. Any assistance would be very helpful and allow me some negotiating ability. Thank you in advance for any help and I look forward to a happy relationship !

carcomplaints.com has two listed for the window noise drivers side, and cure-improved door seal.

Thank you for the reply. I did a little research and found the tech. svc. bulletin for the window noise is A13-010 and requires a small strip glued into the rubber window surround. The brake squeak Svc Bulletin, 12-081 is caused by retaining clips from the disc brake pad. I don't know how to disseminate this info., here on the site, so perhaps you could assist. Thanks in advance !

i have recently heard of a re-call regarding the rear arms causing the tires to go out of alignment. as far as the dealer replacing the parts on all there cars in stock i doubt it only if your actually purchasing the car then hopefully they would but i wouldn't put it past some shady dealers to do it unless confronted.

welcome to the forum. I have purchased 3 new hondas from the dealer, and to date they have fixed anything I have a complaint about. If it does not get fixed, I document it and complain about it the next service check until they fix it. and the more I complain the more they fix. I also inform the sales dept that an item was not fixed and would not consider purchase of another new honda from them if not taken care of properly and timely.

Thanks for the info. I sent an Email to a local Honda dealer regarding my concerns re; the wind noise and his answer was, "Wind noise is relative." I didn't reply as it seemed pointless. He never answered my questions , evading them with the ease of a slippery politician. Obviously, I shall seek oher avenues!

Thanks for your help and welcome ! If I purchase a 2013 Accord EX-L
V-6 w/o Nav., I shall test it on the Interstate and if noise is detected, any sale will be contingent on its correction. Then again, the 2014's are imminent and perhaps they aren't similarly afflicted - we shall see ! One local dealer when Emailed re: wind noise, curtly replied, "Wind noise is relative." I felt I shouldn't dignify his response with an answer. Perhaps, he should run for political office !
