I recently got into a lease for a 2007 S2000 CBR from autoleaselocator.com. I still have about 18 months on the lease but I can't wait to buy it out, I want to throw a super charger on it now. Does anyone know if this will affect my lease warranty? I'm planning on owning it any way. I spoke with the guys at autoleaselocator.com and they recommended not making any changes till the lease was up. Anybody have any leased vehicle experiences?

 

welcome to the forum, I was advised from a lease dealer, no mod's are permitted until the car is purchased by the lease person, this is due to if the buyer backs out of the lease at the end of the time, the dealer will have difficulty selling the car, also will effect the warranty without the ok from the dealer/leassor. ( even if the leasse wants to buy the car ).

 

Okay thanks. That's pretty much what I heard from Autoleaselocator.com. I think I'm gonna just do some bolt on mods in the mean time so if there is a problem I can always remove them without evidence they were there. Like I said I'm probably gonna buy it out. Love this car. I just roasted a 350Z today!
