Default LED headlights

Hi. Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I have had Honda’s several times. I had a 1983 4 door Accord. Then a 1990 Accord. I bought a 2007 CRV. My wife loved it. We’ve had 2 Ford Escapes since. I picked up a 2017 CR-V EX-L. with 14,200 miles on it from Balise Honda in W. Springfield, MA. It is very nice.
i chose the car for irs standard a Honda Sense safety features, as well as Honda’s reputation for quality. I have eye problems that makes night driving stressful. My 2013 Escape Titanium had HID Xenon headlights that were outstanding. I know that LED lights are only standard on the Touring model CR-V..the standard halogen lights are not great..I have gone on line and I see there are various kits available to upgrade the lights on the EX-L..
I called the dealership to see what they offer. They said, they don’t carry after market light upgrades. Wharsmore, they don’t recommend this as they have seen the heat from these lights melt the plastic housing.
Has anyone done such an upgrade and did it cause problems? If you’ve done this, I’d appreciate recommendations on which upgrade kits people used successfully. I really need to improve these lights. I wish it was a stand alone option. Thanks in advance-Richie
