New, and questions about an F22a1
Hey everyone, I own a 1991 Honda accord coupe LX.
its got close to 200,000 miles on it. My mom also owns the same car, but white and a sedan. The two are the same age, same LX model, same engine, but mine handles and feels but mostly sounds TOTALLY different. The sound is very intense on my car, I think it has a vacuum leak, but even that doesn't explain it. However I am not 100% sure if anything is really out of place, so tomorrow I am going to make a video of a pull, and a general look at the engine. Anyone willing to help me out? I love driving it, but it has its problems, there is oil leaking from the top of the engine block, and when I release the accelerator in low gears at around 2k rpm it bogs down to its .9 idle Anyway, hello everyone! |
welcome to the forum. There seems to be a lot of people now that are willing to help. so post all the info to get the car fixed

Hi Wrongfire
Since your Honda is pretty old, suggest you may check your engine routinely to avoid general failures. Sometime the intense sound may be due to a fault in your fuel pump functions or may be with injectors. And for the oil leakage assume your engine head's oil seal may be worn off, you can get it fixed with a little money. However with old cars you should be very careful as sometimes spare may not be available everywhere. And suggest you should take your car for a engine tuning with your local repair center Happy driving |
