Default noise when shifting. manual transmission

I am getting a kind of clicking noise in front. Not the noise of a cv joint. At least it doesn't sound that way. Kind of a deep card in spoke (in your bike tire when you was a kid) type of noise. Anyone heard of such.

welcome to the forum. Possible cv. clicking noise up to 35mph sometimes higher speeds. more better during a turn to the left or right. or loose lug nuts, torque to 80 ft lbs. yes heard both types. or the trans has a tooth cracked, how many miles do you have on the transmission.
