PLEASE HELP 2014 CIVIC DC-DC Converter?
PLEASE HELP: Went to get a bad axel replaced on passenger side of 2014 hybrid civic, and 4 days later was driving in the rain and was braking to make a turn and the car immediately had brake system, charging system and IMA all pop on at once. I took the car back to where the axel repair was done and they said they didn't know what was wrong and to take it to honda dealer. I did and they said it's the DC-DC converter, but I just find it hard to believe it failed right after having axel replaced and suddenly. I haven't picked up car from dealer yet to see the code read out and ask if they checked fuses or grounding/wiring but I doubt they would check so they could just try to bill me 3k to replace DC-DC. Am I over thinking this and this is a normal thing that happens or should I investigate further?

4 days later is not right after and it has nothing to do with your inverter.

Maybe if you had an ABS for that wheel but not what you are talking.

Just got back from Honda, and they said it's a faulty power inverter unit, codes: p0a78 & p1440. I have been looking up used or lower costing parts for this because Honda quoted 2400 on the part, and 750 labor @ 4.5 hrs. I have been slightly confused on the replacement part I need: https://www.walmart.com/ip/12-13-14-...31/14546571394 https://www.ebay.com/itm/156812826342 or https://honda.oempartsonline.com/oem...er-1c800rw0003 or https://www.ebay.com/itm/146616165235 If you could help point me in the right direction that would be great for the part, looks like I can do the labor myself, and get them to reprogram the computer after if that's needed. Thanks for the help. |
I have no idea which part to get. Sorry.
