Lease buyers of Honda beware!!!! Bought Pilot on lease in 2015. Paid off lease in 2018. No longer under contract with Honda but they paid property tax bill from a state where the vehicle is no longer registered. Payment was made by Honda in 2019, 12 months after obligation met. I found out today that my account is in collection and default status over $337 !!!! My credit score dropped 160 points and I can no longer get a bank loan! I had perfect credit prior to this event. Honda will do nothing to clear up theirs error with the credit agencies. 19 years of on time mortgage, credit cards, and car loans completely eroded by a company I trusted. I’ve purchased 2 Honda’s and financed through them since 2014. They don’t care about their customers.

Is there anyway to talk to the credit agencies to clear up this matter?
Or, even have them put in a note to explain situation?
