Default Upgrading the factory stereo options/questions.

Hi All!
I'm new to the HF forum, sorry for the lack of info on my profile, but I will update it soon.
Anyways, I have a 2014 accord cpe EX-L. I love the car, but the sound quality of the stereo could use a little help.
Since it's an EX-L, I do not want to remove the radio since its heavily integrated with the car. I found out the factory amp is a separate unit from the radio. If this is true, is it simple enough to replace the factory amp with an aftermarket amp having the same number of channels with only needing some sort of wiring adapter/harness?

I saw some insane professional factory installs on an accord using a DSP, but that's way overpriced for me.

Welcome to the forum. If your car is under warranty, talk to your service mgr, ask if you purchase the part you want to mod, will the warranty still be good if they install it.

I would agree with this comment. This would be the safest way to keep your warranty. Welcome by the way...

if you upgrade the amp by itself your just going to blow the cheap factory speakers then be worse off then before.

Default thanks!

Thanks all for your replies!
Ill def check with a Honda service manager. And if changing the amp is straight forward, i most likely will swap out the factory speakers.
