I recently purchased this vehicle knowing it had a problem. The vehicle has 129000 miles. When you pull it into reverse or drive there is no hesitation at all. When you drive slowly the vehicle shifts smoothly. However if you push on the gas, the motor races above the transmission and if you back off the tranny catches again and continues on its' way. The transmission fluid is pink with no signs of shavings on stick. If you put it in drive, hold the brake and give it gas, the engine races but the vehicle does not pull against the brake. This is true in any forward gear. Any ideas?
