Default 2007 Honda Odyssey making scraping sounds. Please help.

Hi. I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and it's been making a scraping metallic sound when I apply the gas and you can hear it at certain RPMs. The transmission works fine and it doesn't jerk when changing gears. I was told by a friend that it could be the fly wheel but he never actually looked at it. What would cause that sound when pressing the gas pedal? It sounds like if you are scraping a metal shield along the road and last about 1-2 seconds and goes away. It restarts after I come to a complete stop and press the gas pedal again. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I highly dispute flywheel diagnosis. Get a plastic tube like vacuum cleaner wand (or even flexible hose) have someone hold one end to ear and other pointed toward suspect area to pin point origin. it could be that when the engine is reved/loaded that the engine shifts position slightly contacting a rotating part against body frame. this could be a loose/worn motor mount? Could be a wobbly bearing on idler/tension pulley etc? Use the plastic tube. foot on brake and give it gas to pinpoint origin FROM SIDE OF CAR NOT FRONT. in case the driver hits gas not brake. AND KEEP HANDS OUT just insert/point plastic tube.
