Air conditioning problems

I just bought a 2018 honda odyssey elite. I have only had it for 4 days and have taken it to my local honda dealer. When the van is stopped the air condition temperature is 70 degrees and when driving around it's 58 at the coldest. When they ran their diagnostics they got it down to 42 and said there was nothing wrong. Today again I'm driving and a.c. was acting up again. So I immediately took it in and showed them and they stated that there is a problem because the air at its best was 58. So I'm bringing it back tomorrow for them to figure it out. It's 110 degrees outside and my wife is honestly done with this van and wants to return it. I'm not sure what to think because it's a brand new vehicle and having major issues. I'm afraid that they are gonna just give it back to me and say that it's just so hot outside that it's hard for it to cool? Or they try to fix it but still end up having issues? Anyone else have any a.c. issues with current or older models, never owned a van or even a honda. Ford and gmc all life. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would suggest comparing the performance of your new odyssey with another similar 2018 Odyssey at the dealership. In 110 degree weather it would be entirely normal to see vent temperatures in the 70s.. A/c system performance will usually cool about 30 degrees cooler than ambient temperatures AND dehumidify the interior to feel more comfortable. Just compare to another 2018 Odyssey...

If there were more 2018 odyssey then I would but I'm comparing to a ford f150 and a thx Acadia and a fiat 500e and all blow much colder than odyssey

Well, yeah but still it's a brand new vehicle, it should never be that hot. I was actually thinking of getting a new 2018 odyssey on DSRLeasing, but changed my mind for now.
