Hello new to the forum. Just acquired a 2002 odyssey with a bad engine. Swapped in a used engine that has good compression 120 all around. Yes on the lower side but for the price is justified.
I will have a misfire code 2 and 5, ive swapped coils, plugs, and injectors from neighboring cylinders with no change. Timing is new and was done correctly(not my first engine swap or timing job). My misfire counter will immediately count 2 but 5 follows some behind. Fuel trims are running very reach at about ~-17%. Plugs in 2 and 5 are very soothing covered. You can hear an intermittent mis in the exhaust and string fuel smell. Ive read that tight valves can be the culprit but wanted to check before I dive even further into this.

 

I think you need another engine. That's below the kind of compression we want before we even work on it.
