The other day I got in the van and it was idling very rough. I took it to a mechanic friend who read the code, the code was multiple miss fires. He replaced all the plugs. The tip of the #4 plug was gone and the outside of the plug was covered with oil. He told me that the oil came from a leaking valve cover and it needed to be changed. it was running a little better but got worse over the week. I just replaced the valve cover gaskets and when I started the van it purred like a kitten. After the van got warm the missing returned ant the check engine light came back on. Please help!
