Need Advice 2002 Odyssey
 

I stripped the threads where to long bolt (upper right) holding the Oil Filter Housing enters the block. That bolt goes through the housing and through something else before reaching the block.

I am thinking heli coil to solve this issue but I believe I have to get to the hole where this bolt enters the block in order to tap for the heli coil.

So, my questions are, how to I get to that bolt hole? What needs to come off? Is this a big job?

Looks like I need to remove the oil pump housing. Anything to watch out for doing this?

I remove what ever needs to be removed to get the access I need.

That's what I plan to do but also don't want to remove anything that does not need to removed. What is between the oil filter housing and the block? Does the timing cover need to come off?
