Sliding door problems

I have a 2007 odyssey EXL and the passenger side sliding door will close but it will not latch. The door will have a small gap and the door ajar indicator will be lit. I have been able to get it to shut by pushing on it hard but no matter what I do I cannot get it to latch normally without a lot of help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

door does not stay latched
