Case opened with Honda corporate

We just opened a case with Honda corporate regarding the purchase of a brand new 2018 Honda Fit. Repairs include a fuel injector and head gasket within 8 months of purchase. Service rep at Honda of Seattle said the car was unsafe. Any comments?

welcome to the forum. wow this is a first to me, I own an 07 with 289k and still running strong. 8 mos is so short for that type of failure. did the Fit have any other problems besides what you currently are having. just wondering if the car went through a deep flood.

Bad fit

no word on flood issues with this fit. Corporate is getting back to us tomorrow (January 3). Honda of Seattle not getting the job done. It’s all about the sale apparently.

Updates to follow.

may want to look into lemon law just incase. hope corporate does this right and gets the car fixed. doesn't matter what the sales was, its the service that will determine how a customer reacts. if you are not satisfied, many on this forum will be looking and telling their friends. so feed back is important. thank you

Follow up

Ok, my daughter called Honda corporate and opened a case with them on her fit. Bottom line, they closed the case and did not offer any help.

sorry to hear about Honda's failure to fix an engine problem under warranty. when I go to see my dealership, I will be telling them of what happened and do I really want to buy a new Fit if that is how a customer is being treated.

I would try talking to another person at the corporate office, sometimes it works.

Thanks everybody for your replies to this thread. I really appreciate it. We’ve talked to an attorney regarding the lemon law. Need one more repair then we can file.

Sorry to hear about this. I need you need 3 repairs to be able to file for for the lemon law. Good luck with this and keep us posted, I hate to see people get taken advantage of.

I was going to purchase a car recently from someone second hand, not at a dealership, I decided to do a quick background check on https://backgroundcheckrepair.org/ and let me tell you am I happy I did.

This guy had 3 separate fraud cases all within the past 3 years... No thanks!!!

Anyway, I leaned to know who you do business with.
