can a company deny your insurance claim if it was evading the police?

 

I called my insurance co. asked if I evade the police and cause or was hit by someone else who ran a light will they cover me, answer was no, they would not. Called another ins co and they said yes and no, depending if the party that caused the accident is at full fault written up by the police. So 2 different answers from 2 diff company.
