Default 1995 Honda Passport Power Steering fluid.

Hi.

I know the Passport is a rebadged Isuzu.

Just purchased a 1995 with the V6.
I dont have the vehicle- as its far away.

But what is the required fluid for the Power steering?

Is it a Honda only?

Does it have a special name I can find it at auto parts?

THanks.

welcome to the forum. I have not heard of the power steering needing honda fluid only like the trans, but it would not hurt to use the honda fluid.

Thanks.

The story on the Passport

Its a California plated car.
But it also has Mexican Plates.

2 months ago, father in law was going to drive back and sell it in Mexico. I found out at the last minute.
We needed an SUV to get around the ranch (back in Mexico). The ranch is located 8 miles outside of a small town- up in the mountains. All dirt/rock roads.
We dont need a 'new' vehicle for driving around dusty roads or muddy roads-- depending on the time of year.
We needed a vehicle to get us from points A to B.

I jumped on the opportunity to buy it.
It would be a simple title transfer.

The car was recently smogged in California- and passed.
Full tune up.
New belts, hoses, radiator, plugs, Rebuilt trans etc.
Father in law drove it- with no issues.
Its now been driving around the ranch.

The transaction was so quick- I only saw it briefly- before it was on its way.

the drive.
