I recently purchased a 2016 Honda HR-V and I noticed something odd about the sound system. I always play my own music when I'm driving. This means a combination of MP3 players and CD's. I've noticed that my Honda recognizes the songs and artists on music on thumbdrives or that I have ripped and burnt to a CDR, but it doesn't recognize regular commercial CD's that I've purchased. Just recognizes them as a CD and song #1, Song #2 etc. Is there a way to get the car to recognize the artist and songs on these CD's?

 

It's doesn't show the names of the CD songs. I don't think my other car did either.

The CD is information is not formatted the same as MP3s.
