2003 pilot bad engine
I just bought a 2003 Pilot with an engine with two bent valves from a timing belt failure due to a bad tensioner. The owner said that while going about thirty miles an hour the engine just shut down and he coasted to a stop. He had it towed to a shop where they diagnosed the bent valves. Is it possible that I might get by with just repairing the valves or am I more likely to have to replace the engine. The car is in otherwise nice condition and has 150000 miles on it. Thank you in advance for any advice.

welcome to the forum. take the head off to check if the valves damaged the piston, if not, I would just do a top overhaul replace the 2 valves and reinstall. should go another 150k miles. while you have the head off, change the cam seal, crank seal, water pump if its in the same area.
