2017 Pilot / Touring / AWD / towing equipment
 

Hi, I'm new here so any help will be appreciated.
I just purchased a 2017 Pilot Touring model with AWD. The sales rep and manager told me it will tow 5000 lbs. It didn't have a hitch, wiring harness or (and this is the really important question) a tranny cooler that I could find. I looked in the usual place, in front of the radiator but no external cooler. So,does this vehicle have enough transmission cooling capability without an external cooler? is it located somewhere else? or do I need to install a transmission cooler before doing any towing?

Welcome to the forum. If towing is short haul level road cool running engine cooler not necessary. If planning long haul. Hill climb. Add a good cooler. Honda trans cooler usually goes through the radiator so it’s warm already.
