Default Rough shifting?

Has anyone else experienced problems with a 2017 Honda Pilot touring model shifting rough at interstate speeds? If we have to drop suddenly from say 75 to 60, but then accelerate again to get back up to speed, it feels and sounds awful.

What is suddenly?

but then accelerate again to get back up to speed, it feels and sounds awful.
Downshift? Full throttle?

Full throttle on the interstate around 75 mph, but then have to let off of it somewhat suddenly, but right back on the throttle to get back up to speed. Never does it except around those speeds. 55 mph and below it's as smooth as butter.

Your description makes no sense. Off the throttle and right back on. No brakes? How do you go from 75 to 60 somewhat suddenly. I can't figure this.

Two lane highways in Virginia. You either let off the throttle to go down in speed, or tap the brakes. Either way, dropping below 75 to 60'ish, back up to 75 is very uncomfortable.

when was the trans fluid last changed, have you used any after market trans fluid. Honda transmissions do not like after market fluid.

We bought used. Roughly 37k miles. We've only put about 13k on it. I wouldn't think it has ever had the transmission fluid changed in it, but I could be wrong. That speed adjustment on the interstate is the only time it does it.

changing fluid with Honda fluid only, might be the least cost to smooth this out. use a good reputable shop that knows what they are doing. also mention what its doing, they may advise you on what can be done.

I understand there is a S/W update for the 9 speed transmission that helps to smooth out the shifting. Do you know if your Pilot received the S/W update?

I do not. How does one go about getting the update?
